Lost something at Punta Cana Airport? Who to contact and how to collect it

The PUJ RIDE teamPublished

Left your phone at a café at Punta Cana International Airport? Start with the airport’s Lost & Found service. Left it in the seat pocket on your flight? Contact the airline. If you noticed the loss after reaching your hotel, work out where you last used the item before travelling back to PUJ.

Start with the last place you used it

If two places are plausible, contact both teams. Explain which location you remember more clearly. If you are still at the airport, ask staff where to report the loss from your current location. If you have already left a controlled area, ask how to proceed before trying to go back.

Give the team details that identify the item

Include your name, airline, flight number, local travel date and whether you were arriving or departing. Add the terminal if known, the approximate time and a landmark. For an item left on board, include your seat or describe where you put it.

You can write “I arrived at PUJ on [date] on [airline and flight]. I last used [item] near [landmark] at about [local time]. It has [colour, brand and distinguishing detail]. Please tell me whether it has been handed in and how I can verify ownership. You can reach me at [working contact].” If your phone is missing, use a number or email you can check. Keep passwords and unlock codes private.

Keep your pickup arranged while you report it

Send your booking name, flight, terminal and current location to your transfer team. Say you are reporting a lost item and ask whether the existing meeting arrangement still works. Give an update when you know more. Once ready, follow the latest agreed instructions and contact dispatch from the meeting area if you cannot see your driver.

Confirm the handover before travelling back

Ask the team holding the item to confirm that it matches your report and is ready for collection. A tracker pin can help describe the location. Save the collection instructions and case reference somewhere you can open on another device.

If collecting on departure day, allow time for the handover as well as airline check-in and bag drop. Ask where the office is relative to the part of the terminal you will use. For a separate ride, send the pickup address, confirmed handover location and time window. Ask for the price for the actual journey, including a ride back if needed.
