Start with your booking confirmation
Open the confirmation from the company that sold you the holiday. Look for a transport section, included services, selected extras and any separate transfer document. A hotel’s general facilities page can describe services available to guests without saying that those services are included in your particular rate.
If the documents are unclear, ask the seller or the company named as arranging the transport. A hotel may not have the full details of an add-on sold by a travel agency. Ask for a written answer tied to your reservation, then keep it with the travel documents. The wording below is a starting point for questions, not proof of your own coverage.
| Wording you find | What to establish |
|---|---|
| All-inclusive | Which benefits your purchased rate includes, including any transport |
| Airport transfers included | Which airport, travelers and journey directions are covered |
| Airport shuttle available | Whether it costs extra, needs booking or is shared |
| Complimentary transfer offer | Whether your reservation qualifies and how to arrange it |
| Transfer confirmed | Whether the provider has the correct flights, dates and accommodation |
Check the conditions of any included-transfer offer
An airport-transfer benefit can depend on how the holiday was booked. Conditions may refer to the booking channel, eligible dates, length of stay, room category or flights purchased through a particular seller. For example, two friends could stay at the same resort but have different transport arrangements because they bought different rates. That is an illustration, not a rule about a particular hotel.
Check the conditions attached to your actual reservation. A promotion visible today may not apply to an earlier booking or another booking channel. Also ask what you need to do next. If a flight-details form or separate transfer request is required, complete it and obtain confirmation. A listed benefit does not establish whether the transport team has your flight number.
Find out what the included ride actually covers
You still need to understand the service even when its price is included. Ask whether you will travel privately or with other bookings, whether other hotel stops are possible and what luggage allowance applies. Have a required vehicle category identified clearly. An included ride that suits your plans may be all you need.
Check practical requirements separately. Tell the provider about children, requested restraints, strollers, large cases and mobility needs. Ask what can be supplied, whether it is included and what costs extra. PUJ RIDE charges requested child seats separately per seat and journey, and suitable availability needs confirmation. Use the current family information rather than assuming every provider has the same arrangement.
Compare shared and private transfers →Check family and child-seat arrangements →Confirm arrival and return separately
Make sure the confirmation identifies both directions if you expect a round trip. For arrival, check airport code, flight number, local date, full accommodation name and meeting instructions. An offer for Punta Cana Airport should not be assumed to cover arrival at Santo Domingo or La Romana. For departure, check the flight, pickup address, date and how the collection time is confirmed.
If your group arrives on different flights, do not assume one person’s booking covers everyone. Give the actual passenger and flight list. Moving hotels can change the return you need too: have the final address confirmed rather than assuming the original arrangement follows you. Keep both journeys recorded clearly, including any requirements specific to the return.
Confirm the hotel return pickup →Want a different transfer? Close the original booking loop
You may have transport included and still prefer another arrangement. Before confirming a replacement, ask the original provider how to decline or amend the service, whether a charge applies and whether changing arrival affects the return. Get the answer for your booking rather than assuming you can use one direction independently.
Do not assume an unused transfer can be refunded or deducted from the hotel bill. Ask whether changing the arrangement affects the price. Once you have chosen, save a clear record of which provider handles each journey. Avoid leaving two companies expecting the same group just because both appear in your holiday emails.
If transport isn’t included, compare a complete quote
Get a quote using the actual airport, full accommodation name, dates, travelers and luggage. Check whether it covers one journey or both, and whether the amount is per vehicle or per person. Discuss child seats, unusual luggage and extra stops before confirming so the quote describes the journey you actually need.
PUJ RIDE’s published airport-transfer rates are one-way vehicle prices with taxes included. The current price list is a starting point; the team needs your trip details to confirm the arrangement and total. Identify a hotel move or shopping stop in the quote rather than assuming it belongs to a direct airport ride.
See the current airport-transfer prices →Send one clear question before booking another ride
You can write to the holiday seller or named transport provider: “Does reservation [reference] include airport transport for [travelers]? We arrive at [airport code] on [local date], flight [number], and leave from [airport code] on [date], flight [number]. Accommodation: [full name]. Are both journeys covered? Is it shared or private, and what must we submit to confirm it? We need [bags, seats or other requirements]. Please identify any additional charges.”
Before finishing, keep written confirmation of inclusion, passengers, airports, accommodation, service type, equipment and instructions for both directions. Agree one provider for each journey. If you need a separate private ride, send the confirmed trip details to PUJ RIDE so the team can check the route, vehicle and total before you book.
