Start with three places, not two city names
Write down where you start, where you board the intercity bus and where you need to finish in Santo Domingo. An airport terminal, hotel, apartment and villa can involve different first journeys. The boarding point and arrival stop are not necessarily the places a route search makes you picture.
Punta Cana covers a broad area. Uvero Alto, Los Corales and PUJ have different approaches to a station. At the other end, a Santo Domingo stop is not automatically your hotel entrance. Plan the short journeys at both ends, especially with large bags, children or an arrival appointment, before choosing the long one.
Confirm the station for your direction and departure
Expreso Bávaro’s published information lists Cruce de Friusa and Cruce de Verón, with the latter described as Plaza Sitrabapu opposite Banco BHD. On the Santo Domingo side it lists Calle Juan Sánchez Ramírez near Máximo Gómez and Parque Enriquillo. Treat those as places to verify for your chosen service, not a promise that every departure boards at each location.
Ask the carrier for the current boarding address and a location pin, travel direction, date and actual arrival stop. The closest station is not necessarily the right one. A stop listed toward Punta Cana does not prove you can board there in reverse. An airport label on a route map also does not establish an airline-terminal meeting point; confirm the exact arrangement.
Landing at PUJ? Build the connection after the airport process
Scheduled flight arrival is not the moment you can leave the airport. Disembarking, entry formalities, baggage collection and customs come first. Then add the journey to the confirmed bus boarding point and the carrier’s required arrival time before departure. A short road distance does not establish a workable connection.
Check the current timetable for your date, station arrival requirement, how a seat can be secured and transport from PUJ. Decide what to do if you cannot make that service. A later bus, another travel day or an overnight stay may alter the plan; confirm the actual alternatives instead of assuming another departure will be available whenever you arrive.

Ask the carrier for its current purchase method, payment options, station arrival requirement and what happens when a service is full. A route listing or another website’s fare is not confirmation that you have a seat. Save the answer with the boarding address before setting off.
Describe large cases, strollers, golf equipment, wheelchairs and other unusual items. Ask whether they can travel on your chosen service and whether they change the price. If a child seat or accessibility arrangement is essential, request explicit confirmation. A requirement agreed with the company taking you to the station does not automatically apply to the coach.
Compare the complete cost and the amount of coordination
The bus can suit travelers comfortable with its boarding arrangements and a flexible day. A private ride may suit those who value avoiding station connections. Neither removes traffic or every delay. For a private ride starting at PUJ, use the Santo Domingo city route. If you start at a resort or apartment, request a quote for that address instead of applying an airport fare. Decide whether you mean Santo Domingo city or SDQ airport
A city visit and a flight from Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) are different destinations. Give the full hotel address for a city stay. For SDQ, identify the airport and work from the airline’s check-in and bag-drop requirements. A stop labeled “airport” does not prove delivery to the airline terminal; ask for the exact drop-off and final connection.
If your holiday starts at PUJ and ends with a flight from SDQ, plan those endpoints separately. A same-day flight connection requires its own assessment of actual flights, airport processes and road travel. Neither a bus estimate nor a private driving estimate establishes that the connection will work. Keep a city relocation distinct from catching a flight.

Ask the carrier: “We want to travel from Punta Cana/Bávaro to Santo Domingo on [date]. We start at [full address or PUJ flight details] and finish at [full destination]. Which service and boarding point apply? How early must we arrive, how do we obtain seats, where do we get off and can we bring [luggage or equipment]?”
Request any connecting road ride separately using the confirmed station and required arrival time; ask if it can be provided and agree its price.
